    Sign of the times...

Although this article is about New York City this could very well be any city or small town in the U.S. I could write all day about how this looks like my city nowdays! Although I understand times change but it bums me out when I go see the old movie theater's, stores, food stores..etc.. not there anymore.

A blend of everything from the serious & creative to the silly & absurd. Funny & fascinating viral content as well as more obscure pics, videos, & more.

One thing that's good is many dumpy hole-in-the-wall food places are gone.

Back in the day standards were a lot lower and food places were a lot dirtier

    I don't miss them

Other than the picture of the deli,it looks like most of those others seem to be an improvement.

Even though I've seen some of my old neighborhood in NYC ( I used to live on 158th between Amsterdam and Broadway) through Google Earth, I have deliberately stayed away from it on my visits to NYC in the past 20 years. I like to remember my old haunts the way they were.
