    Do you like beer?

It's a bit of a redundant question to ask Canadians but I'll ask you folks from all of Megodom.

I installed an app called Untappd that let's me share reviews on the various beers I have tried. I am a bit experimental and love trying new brews

If any of you folks are using Untappd as well and would like to, add me to your contacts in the app. Search for ubermanx.

    Cheers

I am a beer snob, and proud of it. I generally only drink German beers but make some exceptions. I don't do apps though

I'm sorry, but I can't get past that nasty taste. When I used to go to parties, I'd pop a beer, and try to look cool, but seriously I would have rather had a soda.

My friend and I used to blog about beer:

One man's quest to find the best and the worst alcohol that the world has to offer. Remember, I drink bad liquor so you don't have to!

It's amazing how catty a beer drinker gets if we don't like their brand, immediate personal attack. We actually kind of enjoyed those comments.

              I love beer...all kinds...from the finest microbrews...to cheap light beers...I don't care, lol.

Having said that...have not had a beer in about two months...trying to lose some weight.

I prefer the taste of a nice cold Alexander Keith's over any hard liquor. So yes, I'm a beer fan.

I'm a big beer fan, but I'm Canadian so that's obligatory. It was an acquired taste for me though, when I was a teenager I thought it was nasty but kept drinking it until I started liking it. But what I drink usually depends on the situation, on a hot day beer is great, I like wine with supper, whiskey if I'm just chilling out, and when in Japan I'm a big fan of Strong Zero (kind of like a carbonated, lemon flavored vodka drink with 8% alcohol and no added sugar, it's awesome!)

My wife and I were lucky enough to get a walk-in table on a rainy day at Le Cellier at Walt Disney World Epcot. I paired a flight of Quebec's Unibroue with a Filet Mignon. It was one of those rare moments where you're in such culinary heaven you can't stop smiling in spite of yourself. I can't recommend the La Fin Du Monde enough. To have 95%-100% on Beer Advocate isn't easy thing to do.

my regular suds are this one though, but I try to lay off for a bit as it's 200+ calories per beer and it adds up quick. http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/664/73/

My go to favorite beer is Stella Artois. Absolute Belgian beer perfection. Never had a bad pour of Stella.

In the summer when it is super hot and I've been out working the homestead an ice cold Miller Genuine Draft goes down in about 7 seconds.

Aside from that I love tasting beers from around the world. Belgium seems to produce most of my favs but I love a Kingfisher as much a I do a Dos Equis.

Local micobrews are a favourite sport of mine. I'll try anything weird or unusual.

But I really dislike beer in a can. Nothing ruins the taste for me more. Friends have done blind tastes with me and for some reason I can always tell a canned beer.

I also dislike "American-style" light beer. Anyone that knows beer is aware of the reasons these beers seem less flavourful (anti-german sentiments post both World Wars, grain rationing, exodus of brewmasters during prohibition, etc). Coor's Light et al are just not my cup of tea except for the previously mentioned MDG. Almost spit on a waiter when I tried Michelob Ultra Light in an aluminum bottle.

Very disappointed in my homeland's mass produced beers like Molson Canadian and Labbats Blue. They taste like no one cared. Loveless and lifeless.

Taste in any terms is always super subjective. And I don't want to disparage anyone else's favorite beers but I either like it or I don't once it has hit my tongue.

                          - Marty

I'm Belgian, need I say more?
We have bars where you can get hundreds of different kinds, even ones called "Sudden Death", "Devil Beer", "Flying Pink Elephants" and other colorful ways of getting falling down drunk.
We brew the really heavy beers. Tourists come over and usually underestimate the Power of the Dark Beer...

And I'm sorry to say, but I'd rather drink camel's urine than Stella. Please come over to Belgium, so I can introduce you to the good stuff!
