Wow, I almost got scammed on ebay.

Put up an auction for a baby monitor that ended with no bids, someone pm'd me saying put it up again, so I did. They bought it. Told me a sad story about the payment. Finally took a week to get paid. Sent it , but had a spidey sense of doing the signature confirmation. They received it on the 19. The 20th they file a case saying they did not receive it. Talked to ebay, they closed the case in my favor because of signature confirmation.

Take that mr (3) feedback rating!

I have concluded, if I am to sell on ebay, signature confirmation is a given now. No more selling small things because of the cost of shipping.

I hear you there. With shipping and the multiple fees, it's not worth it to sell cheap little items anymore. I also get signature confirmation on anything over $50.00 now. I am at a point where I would rather take less to sell on forums and other places to trusted members, than to take a chance with some of these ebay scammers.

I'm pretty sure ebay will side with the seller as long as you have tracking showing delivered for any item less than $250. If it is more, it requires a signature. I don't think buyers can claim item not received as long as the tracking shows delivered to the correct zip code.
