2014 Urban Safari Hunting Hauls (Garage Sale, Thrift Stores, Craigs, Rummage...)

Oh yeah, it's that time again!

Show us your hauls from local Garage Sales, Thrift Stores, Craigs List, whatever you can hunt down and slay!

I have nothing to show yet for this year.
    Who's going to be first?!

*note* oh, the first ones had to post in last year's thread because I was slack in starting a new one. :(
Who's going to be the NEXT first?!

I pulled this 60s Weird Ohs binder at an estate sale today. Had to pay a pretty decent amount of money but still well below value. It's fairly rare and super cool!

Weebles Haunted House and a Fisher Price school. I had found the weebles haunted house about a year ago and gave it to my haunted house/ghost enthusiast friend and neighbour so it was nice to get another one. Really surprised that I didn't have the F-P school as I've amassed a pretty good little people collection over last couple of years.

Holy poopsticks! I finallt figured out how to post pics on mego museum again!

That painting is giant and I'm gonna paint or paste vintage toys climbing out of the water and use it for my toy show.

The pic of all those vintage goodies is what I'm gonn stock pile and sell at my show. A winter's worth of pickin'...

-----^ I'm super glad people have been finding stuff this year so far (and super cool stuff too).

We had one sunny weekend, which I was able to have my first score in literally six months, and this weekend it's back to rain.

Last week I only went to two places as I was dashing out of town, but I picked ones with good descriptions, because VOILA'!! I scored a sweet Telco Toy Maker elf gnome motionette for $4 instead of the $30+ it goes for on ebay. I've always wanted one, but not at online prices. I stuffed his hat up and removed his glasses to make him more gnome-y.
Actually, I'm pretty sure I got him so cheaply because I found him stuffed in a box after the lady went in the house to the bathroom, and her older son shrugged and said $4. SOLD! ...and a hasty retreat.
That doesn't make me a bad person, right?

Also found a few toys at Greedwill that they haven't shuffled off to their online store or overpriced. Probably because I went to a Goodwill in a smaller out of the way town this time. They are mostly useless to visit nowadays. Monsters Inc and Buffy Palz were only $2.99 each. Good thing I didn't find them in MY town or they'd be waaaay higher (if there at all). (sorry, I'm way disgruntled with Greedwill)

                  Always love the Splitty pics...
Here I am always bragging about the tons of garage sales in the NW and this season has been rainy and slow.
Last week I was a vendor at an indoor flea market and the transformer blew! It was pitch dark and tables were lit by candlelight the first hour till they fixed it! Its been that kind of season.
I did grab a box of he man knock offs and power lords and I took a gamble and bought one dudes entire collection of 80s gi joes (40 loose figs and 20 mostly complete vehicles for $250. Eighties joes have a lot of small and easily lost and breakable parts! Oy vey.

a pretty decent thrift shop day.

                        Fisher Price Little People Firehouse
Fisher Price Adventure People TV news van
11 different Ultraman figures, mostly all Bandai from early 90's
a Dr Who alien (bulbish brainy-head with face tentacles and he wears a suit?)
3 1960's American Airlines/Trader Vic swizzle stick toppers. These are approx 3" tall vinyl advertising figures. I just about flipped when I found these as they scratch all the areas I like.
a My Little Pony Big Brother "slugger", not something I'm interested in, but once flipped it'll help pay for the other stuff.

finally got my first score of the season at an estate sale. box of dolls from the seventies for $20.00. nothing major in there but there was a very nice and tight 12" Mego skinny body, no cracks or breaks. Donny Osmond, Laverne, a broken Marx best of the west guy, the head for the Captain of Cpt and Tenille and a bunch of Barbie stuff from the sixties and seventies. don't need any of it but could not resist for the twenty, when I find some time it will all get cleaned up and posted on evilbay I suppose

This was all today from one yard sale I almost didn't stop at. As I was paying the guy he said the one of the two most horrible phrases you can hear at a yard sale: " You should have been here sooner, another guy bought most of the action figures and comic books". ARrrgh!!!!!!
Still, how did I do for $30 bucks?
