    10,000 Bc

Two thumbs down. Other than the CGI use in the initial hunt (which you can see in the trailer) this film has no redeeming qualities. 10.000 BC on which planet? Why do the peole of the main tribe look and talk like people in the 21st C? Why do characters make the choices they do? I should have walked out and saved myself the time which would have been worth more than money lost on the ticket.

At one point though the old warrior put in words what I was trying to say about the movie Jumper. Anyone will try to save themselves and the ones in their immediate circl (girlfriend etc), A good man will make a bigger circle and help those close to him (brothers, sisters ..tribe), a Hero will act selflessly for the good of all.
The Jumper character was in the first group. Because of that and the foreshadowing that he would be in group three which they expect me to wait for a sequel for I gave jumper thums down as well. At least it was entertaining even though its plot lilne was dropped.

My kids are dying to see this, so no matter how bad it is I still have to take them.

10000 BC works only as a turn-off-your-brain popcorn guilty pleasure type movie. Alien/Atlantean bad guy building the pyramids? Dumb but harmless.

I'd read Jumper by S. Gould a couple of years ago, liked it a lot, looked forward to the movie. David Goyer & the other screenwriters really dropped the ball by adding a lot of story that was not from the book. I know changes have to be made for the screen but come on; the second Jumper character, Diane Lane's character and not following up on why he was being a selfish jerk and not helping people (like the ones in the flood on TV). A real disappointment.

I guess the consensus at Rotten Tomatoes was dead on as always.

        Man, I LOVE that site.

Oh yeah, I'm truly shocked you hated it, lol.

I won't even rent it, I'll wait when it's either on HBO, Showtime, or Cinemax.

As a history buff, I just can't stand stuff like that.

Even a solid film like Apocalypto frustrated the heck outta me because the Spaniards arrived during the glory years of both the Aztecs and Incas, NOT the Mayas...their cities had long been abandoned many centuries before...way before the Conquistadores had ever arrived. But the film was solid, it had the Mayan dialect going, and Mel Gibson kept the mumbo jumbo to a minimum...unlike this 10,000 B.C. fiasco of a movie produced by that high-paid hack, Roland Emmerich...God, I hate that dude with a passion.

Interesting..., I did not go to this movie last week as planed, I took the Family to the OutBack Instead.

So since the Reviews are in,, What say you ?
I can look at a movie with a Comicbook vibe,.. & thats what I get from this ones previews. I personally don't need every fact to be correct, nore a correct timeline. So the Questions I have are...

Is the Acting Terrible , Like in Dragon Wars ?

& If you are not seeing the "eye candy" if you will, are you just plan arse bord with the direction of the Movie,.. if you don't care About "fact" ?

            Big thanks in advance.

What do you think of comparable movies like say One Million Years BC? Racquel Welch in a fur bikini, Harryhausen dinsaurs mixing it up with cavemen. Incredibly inaccurate historically, but a lot of fun.

Yeah but Rachel Welsh was smoking hot, and Ray Harryhausen was a great stop-motion animator.

Roland Emmerich should be bagging groceries not producing movies.

If your going for "terrible but enjoyable" movies about primitive humans, I'd have to say watch Clan of the Cave Bear

Maybe this movie tanking will spell the end of Emmerich's crap movies.
