    Los angeles march, 2014

Decided to take some pics of the different filming locations of Blade Runner. Took along the PKD just in case any skin jobs tried to interfere.

Drove through the 2nd St. Tunnel to get to the Bradbury Building.

The beautiful Bradbury Building located at 304 South Broadway; home to J. F. Sebastian and location for final showdown between Deckard and Batty.

Catty corner from The Bradbury is the Pan Am building where the interior shots for the Yukon Hotel were filmed.

From there I made a stop at Union Station, 800 North Alameda Street. This was used for Police Headquarters.

The final stop was located in the twisty hills of Griffith Park: Frank Lloyd Wright’s Ennis Brown House at 2607 Glendower Avenue. This was used for Deckard's apartment. The unique outside panels were copied and used in the interior of his place.

Made it home safely without having to retire anyone. Time for a drink.

Yeah, but how do we know you haven't been replicated?
I'll have to ask you a few questions.
It's in the middle of the desert. A tortoise is on its back, getting baked...

Thanks for the great trip down memory lane.
    Love the photo comparisons!!!

I'm so happy to see the Bradbury looking all fixed up...

Okay, confession time. I've never seen Blade Runner. I have no idea why, I just never got around to it. It's talked about here so fondly I probably should netflix it or just pick it up used on amazon bluray. Those are some cool shots, though.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

That's really neat, thanks for sharing. I'm not a big fan but I've always wanted to go to the Bradbury building, it's been used in some really iconic movies and series.

It's interesting to watch for the visuals alone.
BR is a movie you need to see a couple of times just to get into the whole atmosphere. It's bleak, but you just get hooked. And Rutger Hauer shows Harrison Ford a thing or two about acting.
Ford never enjoyed making the film, and to be honest, at times it shows.
For the DVD restoration, they asked him to reshoot a one minute segment (a medium shot through a shop window), and Ford refused.
In the end, Ford's son (who's a baker I believe), did the shot. He looks a lot like his dad, but he's a bit heavier. Too much pastry, I guess...

Thats so awesome! I've been to Union Station before but not to the others. Next time I'm in Socal I might have to make some stops.
