Ok, here's one. I always thought the first verse of this song was sung by a guy!

"The Girl is Mine" by Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney. I remember thinking Jackson was a woman the first few times I heard it.
I believe I knew who Michael Jackson was, so maybe I didn't recognize his voice or maybe I just couldn't understand why two guys would sing a duet. Very hard to say.
Of course the lyrics of the song didn't make sense - why would a man and woman be fighting over a girl? - so I assumed they were a couple fighting over the custody of their kid - like in the movie "Kramer Vs. Kramer".

I always thought Shelly West sounded like a guy on "Jose Curevo". It really confused me, if you listen to the lyrics. It doesn't help that on the record she has male backing vocals.
