    FIRST LOOK: Punisher: War Zone

I am skeptical of a 'reboot' (of any crappy movie), yet I reserve judgment for:

    Punisher: War Zone

    What do you think?

Yeah, I think I agree. The guy is relatively unknown, which is a good thing. At the same time, he's also pretty unremarkable:

        IMDB Photos of Ray Stevenson

Casting aside, I was quite impressed with the color and composition of the early 'leak' stills from the movie. I won't hold my breath, yet I think this might be… gasp!… pretty cool?!

Well, I know him because I religiously watched the HBO series, ROME, he was one of the lead actors. Yes, he sort of looks unremarkable, but he's also big and very rugged/tough-looking...I think he's going to make a very intimidating Punisher.

You can see that's he's a big dude sitting next to his ROME co-star:

He's not a muscle-type dude, not like an Arnold..he's just a big tough-looking guy...someone you wouldn't wanna mess with in the street at night.

How many remakes does one movie need anyway?

I provided some set pieces for this and being a fan asked a lot of questions. One of the things I got was how the art direction was going to have this comic book feel to it, that can be good and that can also be "Batman & Robin". Judging from the pictures, it looks pretty good, the movie is mostly being shot in Montreal.

I was hoping the next Punisher movie was going to be a sequel to the last movie.

This almost P!$$3$ me off as the Punisher is one of my favs. Here they are again new film, new actor I mean come on people how many times already. It is begining to be just like what they did to Batman already.I'm going to watch it because I like the character but it still galls me.I enjoyed the last punisher movie. Why oh why can't we have a sequel instead of a redo of a redo.

                      Hey,
Maybe it is because I am not a big comic book reader, but there have been many movies that fans hated that I thought were OK. I did like the Punisher movie - wasn't the best movie in the world, but I enjoyed it. Same for the Hulk movie - it wasn't great, but there were good parts and I enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed Thomas Jane as the Punisher.., & Did enjoy the movie However will not pass judgement on this Film until I see it.

I do think that Shoot em Up was the best, & as close to a Punisher movie, done comicbooky that we will ever see.. the Only difference is the fact that the main characters name was not Frank Castle,.. & the tittle of the Movie was not the Punisher. The Punisher needs to be able to shoot 150+ Baddies in the film,.. with over the top action. Just MO.
