What Is Painted On The Side Of Your Chevy Van?

Looking at this article got me thinking- If I could go back, what would I paint on the side of my custom Van? I think I'd have to go with a huge spray-gun painted Charles Nelson Riley on one side and Brett Somers on the other!

What would be your custom paint job?

Man, I wish this picture was in color!

    WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.

      Man o' man!!

I knew I should have answered that ad in the comic books. I too could have entered the exciting profession of van customizing.

      If only I had known.

Well, since it's a Chevy van, more than likely "SEND HELP!"

I don't know if it was a Chevy or not, but some person in my hometown had a very cool Green Lantern fighting a scaly creature painted on a black van in the early 1980s.

Wee67, Like everybody else on these forums, I have my other geek/nerd interests. I was just on the forums for an RPG game called Dungeon Crawl Classics and someone there had also posted this pic on a thread. Funny how all of our different interests intersect at different points.

Isn't this the sole purpose of art by Boris Vallejo?

okay, blue sky thinking scenario.... how about the movie poster for Barbarian Queen, except I'd stick the heads of Lynda Carter, Cheryl Ladd, Pam Grier, Tura Satana, and Louise Jameson on them.

I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

To be perfectly honest, probably some really groovy art by Christian Reese Lassen Maybe involving dolphins and tigers and unicorns! Oh My!

Maybe a cover off one of the 70s Star Trek novels. That would be cool.

In the mid-90s, there was a late 80s Camero with a primered paint job and a wicked Giger Alien on the side. I'm not sure, but I think it may have belonged to original Walking Dead artist, Tony Moore. He lived here at the time.

Someone around here has a van like that. I cant recall if it has a Frazetta inspired paint job as I haven't seen it in a few years (maybe 2 or 3). Pretty sure it was along the line of the Death Dealer.

It's funny. When I was a kid I use to dream about painting the 5 circle heads off a Mego card of Bats, Robin, Supes, WW and Aquaman and using that as my toy hunting van.
