Dang.... I gotta go edit my post above... I forgot MEATBALLS!

Apologies to Mr. Ramis and you all.

IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER! IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER! IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER!

Wow this really floored me! This past weekend I was not feeling well and watched them both over the past two days. They should completely scrap Ghostbusters 3 now. RIP funny man!

I remember the sense of fun his cameo voice work added to the production of Heavy Metal.

Seemed like a clever and kind man.

Broke my heart when I heard this today. Was looking forward to Ghostbusters 3 after seeing a recent interview with him. Such a true talent for our generation. He will most certainly be missed.

Ghostbusters is my all-time favorite movie hands down. I usually don't get emotional about celebrity deaths but this one really bothers me. Hopefully this will put to rest any talk of what would have only been a terrible third Ghostbusters movie. I may be in the minority on this but I have no desire to see a 60 something Venkman "pass the torch" to a younger cast any more than I have to see a 70 something Han in a new Star Wars movie. Of course now it will just put all the focus on a reboot.

It always came across that Ramis was a genuinely nice guy. He'll be missed. Has no one mentioned Stealing Home? That film was always on cable when I was a kid and I remember liking it because "Egon" was in it. He also directed a few Office episodes too.
"Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you."

Ironically I was watching Ghostbusters on saturday for the millionth time and Meatballs on sunday cause I haven't seen it in awhile. I knew there was a disturbance in the force when I woke up this morning! R.I.P. Harold Ramis!

For anyone interested, this is a fantastic older piece about Ramis and his tainted relationship with Bill Murray:

How Harold Ramis’s movies have stayed funny for twenty-five years.

A unimaginable loss. One of the great comedic writer/actors of the past 35 years. He'll be greatly missed.
