        That kinda makes sense.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I have noticed that two litres go flat within about ten seconds of me opening them. And I agree that glass bottles are the best, I don't have any trouble finding them in central Ohio. I am pretty sure I even saw Fanta last week.

I'd bet the biggest problem with the fizz does come from the sweetener. Corn syrup is not and can not be sugar and thus the carbonation process affects it differently. As far as the diet and reduced calorie stuff, I avoid those on the principle of taste first and foremost. Diet soda to me is like Non alcoholic beer.

Have you tried buying one of these for after you crack the seal on a soda bottle? I bought something similar in a supermarket but haven't tried it yet:

Have you moved to a place in the past few years which is at a higher altitude than before?

Lower barometric pressure will cause the gas to escape the liquid faster.
