He will be deeply missed. Mad Monster Party was my favorite feature as a kid, not to mention, all of the memorable Christmas stop-motion specials. Thanks for all the wonderful memories.

Aw man, we just lost Lou. Needless to say, love those specials and many of the Saturday morning shows. Saturday mornings arent the same without guys like him.

Wow...Rankin/Bass are responsible for most of my TV joy at Christmastime. Also great cartoons like the Jackson 5 and The Osmonds on Saturday morning. I guess I know who I'm paying tribute to tomorrow when I watch my toonage. RIP Arthur. Thanks so much for all of my wonderful childhood memories.

Truly one of the great ones...when I watch some of the Christmas specials made today, none of them are able to capture the feeling of magic found in those Rankin/Bass classics. They were able to infuse the very spirit of the holidays into each and every one of their productions and make them timeless. Peter Cottontail is still my favorite to this day.

Aww man, this makes me very sad.

Rankin & Bass films hold such a special place in my heart, especially the stop motion movies. There will never be anything like the magic these guys created for the world.

Although I'm sure he heard it all the time, I'm sad I'll never be able to meet him and tell him how awesome the legacy was they left behind. He will be missed.
