Yep, it's true. It's going to snow here in the deep South tomorrow and Wednesday. We are expected to get up to 3" here (not a lot for up North but for here is might as well be 3 feet). It's even suppose to snow as far south as the AL/FL line with FL getting freezing rain. Schools are already closed for the next 2 days and I'm guessing all the state offices are closed as well. People have been told not to get out in it.
I always find it funny how my state reacts when it does actually snow. They really do freak out. But I know they are only doing it to keep people safe. We just do not have the equipment to remove snow much less anywhere to take it. So we throw sand on the bridges and overpasses and hope for the best. The other reason I'm sure of is people here can't drive when it's raining much less in snow. I spent some winter months in Boston back in the 90's and learned how to drive in snow with it blowing everywhere. There is now way these people here could handle it. We'll see how many venture out and end up in the ditch.
