Neat little monsters. Some of those are really good. Very imaginative.
If you want to learn start small with a paint by number set. Study the color wheel and practice mixing paint in small doses. Before you know it, you'll be painting fruit and half way there. Its relaxing. Dont worry about being any good at it.
I can barely sign my name legibly. I cannot even make respectable doodles. There is no hope for painting.

I dont draw nearly as much as I did when I was a child and teen. I use to spend whole summers doing comics out of boredom. I cant draw or paint nearly as good as some of the guys on here, but I do seem to be ok when I'm looking at something. I think it definately helps if you did it a bit in your youth. I still use coloring books on a regular basis.
This is one I did for Meule, for his boy's first birthday party.
I'm not very good at drawing, but it kinda looks like Thomas...

I think it looks neat. The only way I can paint anything is to lightly pencil it first and then pre-determine the colors. Trying to paint really makes me understand the talent of someone like Kincade.
