    History Behind Names

    Hello,

I'm pretty sure it's been discussed here and there . Just out of curiosity how did you pick out your forum 'name' ? I'm sure most names have history behind them. My user name (i.e. Cardzilla) came about as a result of the way my son said the word 'Godzilla' when he saw Godzilla related toys. He's 4 now but this happened back when he was almost 3 years old.

I use my ebay name, but I got it from when I was big into collecting vintage LSU items. Antiquetiger was already taken, so I added the "the". Before I used this name, I used "Chris_Garage_Sale", kind of boring.

I like living life to the fullest each and every day. I also have very expensive tastes. Therefore, I needed a screen name that matched my lifestyle. Hence forth LIVNXL was born quite some time ago. Then I decided to take it a couple of steps further with LIVNXXXL. I own both domain names as I am the original owner for many years now. I even went as far as to copyright the names. (the websites are currently not developed) I like to keep people guessing. I like to see the look on people's faces when I am in public. Most probably think that LIVNXXXL is a XXX web site. Since it is not currently developed yet maybe it could be? Who knows. I already have the T-shirts professionally printed up for promo and wear them proudly wherever I go. I am not sure if it is the car that I drive, my Mr. T starter kit, my girl friend, my LIVNXXXL shirt or all of the above, but I do get a lot of looks when out in public. It is sooo fun! In addition to the t-shirts I am also in the process of having caps, sweaters and other items made as well. I guess you can say I have my own little clothes line. I know by viewing the Mego Museum that there are some pretty talented individuals here when it comes to customs and what not. I am also in the market for a custom Mego like figure that I am working on called "The Money Man" or Money Man for short. I have one in the works that I have been working on for fun just for S&G's. It is pretty close to being done at least IMO. Yet I still think that it lacks "something". I am interested to see what others could come up with as well. I am thinking about holding a custom conte$t here at The Museum just to see what kind of response I get and of course to see what kind of customs people can create. Anyway, enough about me....I am interested to see what some of the other Members here have to say. Chow for now!
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009

my family loved reading/writing names backwards, and some of them sounded better than others. Bryan=Nayrb. It has a certain indescribable charm to it, so I've used it for many years. the GO on the end is a more recent development that most likely comes from my love of Bebop and Kerouac and that whole Beat scene, so it's more of a "GO, Man, go!" feeling, but this time, "Go, Nayrb, GO!". Then of course it brings up memories of "Go, Dog, Go!" and "Stop, dog, stop!".... one of my favorite books as a kid. Great drawings!

I'm a big Steve Coogan fan. In his show Alan Partridge he asks the BBC TV controller for a new TV series. One of the ideas that he puts across that gets turned down is for a show called Monkey Tennis

I was DJing in a pretty rough Terre Haute club. My hair's really long. I was shaking my head, headbanging to the music, while I spun the songs, and this old bald black man who looked kinda like Scatman Crothers in a pinstriped gangster suit came up, thanked me for playing P-Funk, and said "I like you what you play, boy. You Voodoo. You has got the devil in you. You Voodoo for sure." And so the nickname stuck.

The greatest obstacles to inner peace are disturbing emotions such as anger, attachment, fear and suspicion, while love and compassion and a sense of universal responsibility are the sources of peace and happiness.” - The Dalai Lama
