    The Lovely Bones

It's Peter Jackson's disturbing and somewhat controversial movie from a novel about a raped and murdered girl's beyond the grave experiences in her heaven along with the murderers' other victims.

But I tell you I always have to see the start for the dreamy recreation of the early 1970's. Including a visit to the mall.

Good movie, but I hated the ending. I wanted to see justice done. I went to see it w/ my brother and his wife, and all thru the beginning w/ the 70s, they kept looking at me. Especially since the lead character was a big David Cassidy fan.

Justice was done. Dude gets offed by the ice sickle, the perfect murder weapon, and rots in the woods for months before anyone discovers him.

If you liked the movie, read the book. Jackson does it justice but like most things, the book was better (and slightly different.)

I think what I meant was that I wish she'd been found. And wasn't there a book her sister found or something? That should have been given to the police. I dunno...I guess I just expected something different.

it was a well done movie but the subject material is so sad and depressing it is not one I care to watch again
