If one opens in the north-west, I'll definitely make the trip.

for years, even pre-internet and before I was of age, I had heard about the legendary Giger Bar in Tokyo.

Imagine my huge disappointment when I finally made it there at the dawn of the new Millennium, only to find that it no longer existed.

Oh, I want to go there so bad, hope it won't be too far away. I loooove Giger, this looks like it will be absolutely amazing!

Ha, I forgot about that one. Looks like it closed down years ago, well before my first trip there in '97. Next time I go to Tokyo maybe I'll try to figure out where it used to be, looks like it isn't too far from Shibuya, I head out to that area quite a bit. It's funny that the bar apparently became a Yakuza hangout.

I actually wandered around Shibuya looking for it, and was told at Mandrake that it wasn't there any more.

If it still existed, I'd make it a mission to buy the first round there for us.

ah well, there's still the Ghibli Museum!

Oh well, at least the Shibuya Mandarake is still there. I'd honestly cry if that place ever closes down.

Ghibli Museum (quite a segue from the Giger bar!):

Visit the Ghibli Museum, Mitaka, located in suburban Tokyo. Experience the maze-like building, the fun of animation and discover the many fascinating and beautiful treasures created by Studio Ghibli.

Gotta buy tickets in advance, didn't know that. Hopefully they don't get too booked up on a regular basis. I'm sure there are slow days/times.
