If you didn't catch it Tuesday night and you are a toy enthusiast, especially 80's toys/action figures, you have to find it and watch it. It's the second time in the series that you see action figures like Shogun Warriors and others. First time was I think the Halloween episode. It's a funny show to begin with...but the toy flashbacks are pretty cool also. I wonder how much the show has spent on furnishing the kids room with the vintage toys in the 2 episodes that have them?

The Goldbergs January 7th Episode...
"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Isn't it a pity".

Cool! I saw a couple of episodes of that show, but there weren't a lot of toys on the ones I saw. (The writer/creator Adam Goldberg also co-wrote Fanboys and a few animated projects, so I bet he is a toy fan to some degree.)
My guess is that if the toys were very valuable, and not a regular props on the set, that the production would rent them - just like shows/movies rent most vintage and antique props.
I'm really rooting for that show, because I think the cast is fantastic, but the show hasn't gelled yet for me. I've noticed that sometimes with sit-coms I have to see a lot of episodes before I really enjoy them though.Last edited by Brazoo; Jan 9, '14, 3:06 PM. -
great show, watch it regularly on Hulu. The entire cast is perfect, especially George Segal. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment
