Yeah, Hathaway is pretty cute...but I still have mixed feelings about this movie...I think I'll check it out on DVD as well.

At first I wasn't too sure about this movie, but now that I've seen these trailers...I'll have to see it. Thanks for the links!

Looks suitably stupid. As with any remake I look I don't expect much. Its a different world we live in today than when the originals were made. The humor often does not translate. I will watch it at the discount theater or rent the DVD. I wont rush out to the main theater to see it! Between the high prices and Obnoxious people (talking, cell phones ringing, rude comments...) The movie Theater experience just plain stinks anymore!
Too many toys. Not enough space!

I won't bother w/ this, even in rentals. But hopefully it'll make TVLand get off their dusty butts and give us the original again.

Time Life has had the complete original Get Smart series available on DVD for about a year & a half as an exclusive from them. They'll likely make it available to retail outlets to tie-in with the movie's release.

Rarely do I go for these movie remakes of tv shows. I can't recall one that I liked, except for the first Brady Bunch movie. But this looks good to me. Maxwell Smart is the part Steve Carrell was born to play. And Terence Stamp! Kneel before Siegfried! And a cameo by the original Siegfried, Bernie Kopell.
