right now it's just the light stuff. Overnight we're supposed to be getting wind at upwards of 50mph. Whiteout conditions...and the icing on the cake will tomorrow afternoon when it winds down. -5 - -10 degree temps. Never have experienced that kind of temp in my life. Thank God for long johns

I briefly toyed with the idea of clearing the driveway but it is so windy and cold out I decided to wait it out. it is about 4 degrees out and really windy right now so with wind chill is it below zero. frost bite weather

Be careful out there everyone! And watch scraping those driveways. With that amount of snow and freezing temperatures, it's easy to overdo it. Stay safe!

Just finished about 3/4 of the driveway. Taking a little break and then out to finish the rest of the driveway and I will think about doing the sidewalk. Have to say that the snow isn't that bad. It's not the heavy snow...it's this light powdery stuff. That I can deal with. Little tip for anyone getting up there in age, I'm 44, take 2 tylenol before you go out and shovel. Makes a world of difference. I also noticed that I didn't have snow blindness when I came back into the house. The tylenol helps the blood start flowing. I've done it with the last 2 big snowfalls out here, which has been one major storm the last 2 years, and it has helped both times.

It's not that bad. It looks worse than it is. The snow is like powder.

Shoveling snow when you're a smoker isn't fun though.

that's why you need a snow blower. shoveling sucks! but be safe and smart about shoveling if you don't have a blower. aside from the activity, it is really, really cold out today. wind chill this morning was negative 11

Had to shovel out out this morning to go to work. There worst part isn't that, it's that despite the weather some delivery tricks were STILL sent out. Of course it's my Friday to be one of two people to wait for them to come back! I'll stop before I start ranting.

I was out shoveling for about an hour and a half, 6 inches of light fluffy snow here. Despite the cold temps I still had to lose the outer jacket after 20 minutes, sweatshirt and fleece inner coat and I was warm enough. Must be use to this kind of weather living in New England all my life.
