Wow, great swag guys! I'm partial to the 66 Batcave Ray got, and Steve's Super-Softie, but that's just me.

Rallygirl, that is an interesting story there. I had a similar thing with Santa Claus figurines years ago. I had a few around the house that I liked, but I was very selective. For several years I got NOTHING but Santa Claus figurines. Cindy finally had to spread the word that I didn't collect those anymore...even though I never really did!

Ready to join the landing party!
    Great! Don't wear red!

    Chris

Ed and I do not buy gifts for each other. And in my immediate family, we only buy gifts for the kids who are still in school.

In Ed's family, though, the gifts are interesting. His mother is a class one, grade A, just-like-you-see-on-TV hoarder. Everyone in the family gets a large box filled with stuff; there is no better way to describe it other than simply stuff. I think she walks around her house in the hours before our get-togther and drops random stuff into the boxes. Once in a great while, we will get something intended specifically for us. That being said, here is the last part of the back story - I have my Great Grandma's 1940s Smiley Pig cookie jar sitting on my kitchen counter. I do NOT collect pigs. I do NOT collect cookie jars. I simply have one favorite keepsake from my Great Grandma sitting on my kitchen counter.

So this year my MIL gave me: a birdfeeder, an Elvis Christmas ornament, a jar of jelly, a half used bottle of bath beads, a "How to Remain Disease Free" book of home remedies, a box of 1980ish crock pot recipe cards, a tote bag, A 1934 high school study guide about the Underground Railroad, a pet memorial marker that says (in German) "You live forever in my heart", and a piggy bank for my pig collection.

Again let me stress that I do not, nor have I ever had a pig collection. Despite the fact we explain this to MIL every year, and with the exception of Smiley, there is not a pig one in my house, however every birthday, Christmas, Easter, Valentines day, ect I get either a piggy bank or a cheap, new, pig cookie jar. We usually take a photo of my new pig, add it to my ever-expanding pig photo collection, and add the pig to the donation box. I know she means well and we do love her, but sometimes we just shake our heads.

Wife brought this back from Japan for me. It's an odd, but fun gray market thing that is scaled with the Hot Toys.
