    Love this Christmas song?

I'm really digging "Carol of the Bells" by Deana Carter

That is a cool interpretation musically, but they changed all the lyrics to make it more politically correct.

Those are the words to Carol Of The Bells. This is the version I grew up with:

"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I stand corrected. The only version of the lyrics that I had known, I remembered from an album that my parents brought home in the 70's from a Kroger's promotion; it was very Lawrence-Welk-ish sounding album. The lyrics on it were much more nativity based and had more of a spiritual connotation.

I found this article on the many iterations of the lyrics.

Apparently the original tune wasn't a Christmas song at all, but about a flying sparrow that ushered in the spring.

Interesting. That Harry Simeone version is one of my all-time favorite carols. I couldn't even sing the tune to the other lyrics.
