10,000 B.C. is getting some HORRID reviews, lol...

10,000 B.C. - Movie Reviews, Trailers, Pictures - Rotten Tomatoes

I love this quote from one of the movie critics...

"An atrocious waste of a perfectly good CGI budget ... at least the Geico commercials make an effort to get the historical accuracy right"

... I never buy into what the Critics say,.. I rarely like alot of what they do, ... I wish someone I knew, or a Comicbook geek or something could give me a review before I waste some cash,.. This was our family outting this weekend.

I've been in agreement with Rotten Tomatoes 9 outta 10 times through the years.

So to me, that's pretty accurate.

I just never felt quite comfortable with the premise of 10,000 B.C. people with cities, armies, domesticated mammoths, and so on.

      That's just me though.

I still wil probably catch it on DVD through Netflix though.

.. I just hope for something,.. some sorta Good Story line, & some credible actors that can act.. I can look at stuff like this with some sorta Comicbook vibe & outlook, But if the story sucks & The actors can't act,.. This will be lame.

I recently saw Dragon Wars,.. man was that a HORRIBLE Movie. & My GirlFreind bought it.

I'm looking forward to this flick.I may check it out this weekend with the kids.
I really don't give a crap about historic accuracy in a flick of this sort.
I go in thinking of it as entertainment only;much like a comic book.I want decent story some cool sabertooth shots and some cavemen armies like cave man flicks from the 50's,60's and 70's.Bring on the mammoths baby I'm there!!!
It's got to be better than Rambo IV???

I heard Rambo 4 was great,.. & true to the character.
Other than DVD the only 2 Movies I've scene in recent months was Alvin & The ChipMunks,.. & Jumper. I liked them both. So here is wishing.

I'm sure it's not historically accurate, but I'd still watch it.

Science fiction is speculative fiction. The prehistoric period is of course pre-history, before writing; and so in that sense we only have very broad ideas about migrations and movements of peoples, their general levels of techological advancement, and a little bit about their religious beliefs (via cave paintings and grave goods). Most other details are open for interpretation, especially in a special effects film designed to have fun with the subject matter and entertain mass audiences!

I never cared for what critics say, I make up my own mind. So I'm probably gonna see this anyway, despite the bad reviews

ROTEN TOMATOES (as Hector implied) is an incredibly accurate review/critique
source---sure, it doesn't mean you'll agree with RT all the time---but I'd say that
if you don't agree with RT "most" of the time----there's something weird going on
because there are too many critics being accessed for the odds not to work in your
                          favor "most" of the time.

With that being said---if "historical accuracy" is a concern to any of those critics
(or any viewer for that matter) and THAT'S affecting their judgement of a piece
                          of entertainment----well I think that's A # 1 lame-o

Movies are entertainment-----either you like 'em -----or ya don't

If you leave a movie satisfied and then are distraught if someone tells ya
it was "historically innaccurate"----that sounds real peverse to me.

I'm all for being doubtful of critics, especially ONE critics' opinion. But when the consensus opinion is 12 PERCENT (!) on Rotten Tomatoes, I think we can safely assume that this movie is indeed, rotten.
