The sleet and freezing rain began here at 8 AM CST and hasn't stopped since. And more is on the way. I do hope everyone stays safe during this event.

Exactly. It was 67 degress at 6:30 this morning when I signed into my work computer. By 10 am it had already dropped to 48 degrees. Right now it's holding at 45 until the sun goes down. I'm VERY glad I work from home when it gets like this.

Outside Chicago in the northern suburbs, it was 51 degrees last night at around midnight when I took the dog out. I was fine in a t-shirt. This morning at 6:30, when I took him for a walk, it was 28 degrees and falling with strong winds blowing. Been hovering around 26-27 all day and highs are only supposed to be 21 or so this weekend. Fortunately, we're only looking at a 10% chance of precipitation, so I should be have time this weekend to get the snowblower prepped and the garage rearranged to fit at least one of our cars in there.
