Well a lot chances in the course of a few years, especially once I hit late 20s/early 30s. More likely to find me listening to The Damned these days than the latest Black Metal release. I still like Metal, but I am not as deeply into it as I was in the past.

How "metal" are you? Another silly checklist...

Oh, I listen to a lot less metal than I used to as well. Metal used to be the be all end all for me, but now I listen to a much larger variety of music. One minute I could be listening to the Beatles, the next minute Emperor, and then Gorillaz. Oh, and I'm a big fan of the Damned too.Comment

Had to laugh about some of the bands on the list. Queensryche isnt exactly the hardest, loudest, band I've ever heard.
I got like a 37% on it and I was never really a metal head. Familiar with some of the bands because of friends. I do like Ozzy, GN'R, Metallica, Judas Priest, and Motley Crue. I'm more of a fan of Madonna and Cyndi Lauper, I have to admit.Comment

I have, at one time or another, owed 54 of these albums. But in all fairness, I had even more rock, classical, jazz, oldies and pop. As I have gotten older, the heavier stuff has fallen to the wayside. I will listen to almost anything that comes my way, except for country/western.sigpicComment

Holy crap, you folks are really trouncing my lowly score. But I'm glad to see that I'm far from the only one here who has enjoyed a bunch of these albums.

Maybe not, but their "Operation Mindcrime" is a great, classic album. It's pretty high on my list of all time favourites.

Haha - only counting albums I know for sure I've heard all the way through I only got 19. I guess I'm not very "metal".
My favorites on my list are the early Black Sabbath albums, Moterhead and Kyuss.
My least favorites are the Metallica albums. Through the years I've heard "Master of Puppets" and the self titled Black Album a bunch of times through friends - and never wanted to hear them once.
Meshuggah and Mastodon were bands my ex-roommate use to play a lot - I was surprised they were on here. I kinda assumed they were more obscure. I could kinda dig 'em, but I guess I didn't run out and buy them either --- or even download them.Comment

I'm more of the traditional hard rock fan...not so much metal.
People to this day...have a hard time placing down what's metal or not...I think that started when Jethro Tull won Best Metal Album at the Grammy's years ago, lol.sigpicComment
