Pumpkin Pie vs Sweet Potato Pie

love pumpkin pie. my wife makes a delicious pumpkin pie cheesecake. I usually finish one off in the course of a day, LOL.

My wife loves Sweet potato, but I can't stomach them, lol so we get Both pumpkin pie, and vanilla bean ice cream! Tomorrow. Us our thanksgiving dinner, because Jr, my wife and I will be visiting my parents in Sunny Mazatlan Mexico for two weeks! Early flight thankhiving morning, with a 19 month old should be interesting! Lol

My Grandmother and Mom make their own Pumpkin pies they're pretty good but I prefer apple.

like both. A few years ago Mrs. TBolt cooked an actual pumpkin and it ended up looking nothing like the processed goo that comes out of a can. It was really good tho in pies.

Don't get me wrong, I like sweet potato pie too...but I need lots of milk with it, lol.

With pumpkin pie...I tend to drink coffee with it instead...go figure, ha...

There's a constant struggle in my household during Thanksgiving and Christmas...the ladies of the house prefer sweet potato pie...I dig pumpkin pie more (especially with whipped cream topping, yum, lol).

So, we compromised...and usually get both.

I also like apple pie.

Anyway...for you Oakland peeps...non-profit Uhuru, in conjunction with local bakers...offer killer pies during these holidays...it's our fourth year buying pies through them...and let me tell you, the pies are really friggin' awesome, no joke.

Last year, I bought a premium pumpkin pie from Whole Foods, and I'm sorry, the Uhuru pumpkin pie blows it away...it's way more delicious (cheaper priced too).
