Just received the EMCE Frankenstein and Wolf Man today, and while they look lovely, I couldn't help but think of how the modern style guide for Universal seems to have negatively impacted some color choices.
The worst offender? Frankenstein's GREEN jacket.
Green? Where did this come from? This dates back to the mid '90s with products like the Hasbro 12 inch figures. I have to believe this was a style guide choice, and not EMCE's decision.
Seriously, does this look green to you?

Is there any real life reference for this color? Or did someone making a style guide 20 years ago take creative license which we're stuck with now?
Also, can we please update the Bride's coloring? She's just too white. Here are some colorized images that I think would be a better reference for the Bride's skin tones.

Don't get me wrong, I like my toys to look toylike, but I think this was a case of style guides cramping style.
Or maybe I'm mistaken, and this was all EMCE's choice? If it was the style guide, who do we contact to get it updated?
