Check this high school kid out, 6'4" and 400 pounds and he's a running back!!!!!!! More of a novelty but still how would you like to see that guy coming at you with about a 7 yard head start!!!
Half of being a running back is footwork, and I doubt he's got too much of that...yet. He can be taken down pretty easy by tripping him up below the knee. Christian Okoye was a badass for a few years with the Chiefs. They listed him at 260 pounds, but that was from the waist down. He was a HUGE running back, but had a short career. He could literally fall forward and gain yardage. Still, this is a neat video. I hope he gets to continue his playing next level.
This reminds me of a story I saw on Scholastic Sports America many years ago about a man-child who played offensive line. He was 12 years old and was already 6'8" and 350 pounds. I think his last name was Cloverfield. Anyway, seeing him block these kids who came up to his navel and tossing them around was pretty funny.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.
I don't know why that hostess is snickering while reporting about this kid (which I find annoying and in bad taste)...she's just as huge...but with less talent.
Good point Hec and yes this kid isn't going to put any moves on you but for even the typical HS safety it has to be quite a sight if he's coming at you or even if you go low and take him down it can't feel good to have him fall on you.
Christian Okoye was called the Nightmare for a reason, still when I think of him I think of the smackdown that Steve Atwood for Denver laid on him. Huge thighs make me remember both Timmy Newson for Dallas and the great Earl Campbell. Skoal Brother, remember that commercial? LOL.
you guys are missing the point, it's not like he's expecting to be the next great college prospect nor did I post it in that way. It's a "Novelty" and a fun thing to see. It's not like you see a 400 pound white running back in high school every day. Seems like he and his team are just having fun with it.
