Hi guys,
When I was the Sea-Tac airport yesterday, coming home from my grand-niece's birthday party, (which was great BTW), I had a little time to kill so I stopped in one of the gift shops on the concourse. I saw this really cute book called "Santa Goes to Washington". I was thinking of buying this for my grand-niece as part of her Christmas gifts. But when I saw that Santa was using a "Santa Nav" w/ a bossy female voice telling him to turn at the next star, that killed it for me. Really?
Must technology invade everything? Santa has been finding his way to the children of the world for decades w/o the use of any GPS type of items. It's bad enough that my nephew and his fiance' spend all their time on PCs and cell phones, and my grand-niece picks up a Smart phone like she was born to it. I just wanted to give her a sweet simple story about Santa coming to visit her neck of the woods. Am I deluding myself? I guess I'm gonna have to find the wonderful Little Golden Christmas books I grew up with and give them to her.
