Just now heard about the storms that rolled through the area. I hope all of you and your families are ok. Being in a tornado prone region I understand how scary times like these can be.

We had no power issues, but a Tornado dropped into a town about 15 miles away...Comment

I'd been getting calls and texts all night asking if we were okay. Apparently a tornado/funnel cloud hit about 100 yards from me in a cemetary adjacent to my home. I heard it and saw the trees bent sideways but never really connected the dots that it was so close and that was in fact a tornado. It skipped around my side of town for many miles before entering another county and touching down again. I'm curious to turn on the news and see what happened and to track the path. My cable just came back on so I'll check that out.
Like I told Ben, I'm a wannabe storm chaser, so I think that's pretty cool it was so close. This is the third tornado I've been near or in, so the odds are slim I'll have this happen again.I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.Comment

Got hit by rain and high winds here in my area of Ohio. There were reports of tornadoes a few counties away from me, but luckily we didn't get any here. The wind has died down considerably, but it's still gusting around 30 mph."Trying is the first step towards failure." - H. J. Simpson, 1997Comment

Local paper reported this morning that Consumers energy still has 13,000 customers w/o power in our county alone.
Most of flint seemed to not get hit too bad, damage-wise.
My work (local college) has been closed yesterday and today due to a power outage.Comment
