Oh damn; as a long-time Raiders fan, this really saddens me.
Todd was one of my favorite players from the Raiders teams of the 80's, and I always appreciated his wit and intelligence when interviewed. He was an extremely articulate and well-read man, breaking the "dumb jock" stereotype. Gone way too soon. RIP Todd.

He was one of the toughest TE's to have ever played. Sad news.

Such sad news. He died from complications during surgery to put in a new liver. He had liver problems for many years and he was a non-drinker. Very sad news. A great player and good sportsman.
