Whoa! For a Yorkie that's HUGE! Mine topped the scales at 11 Pounds fighting trim and he was a bruiser (for a Yorkie). I've read that in the days before they went micro-Yorkie that 40 lbs was not unheard of.

Imagine Yorkie attitude with 40 Pounds to back it... Sounds like a Pocket Pitbull to me.

Great dogs! We have two yorkie mixes. Ferris is a yorkie and maltese cross, they are called Morkies and Henry is a Yorkie crossed with dashaund and they are called, yep you guess it, a Dorkie!! I wish I had these great dogs when I was little.

Yeah, he's a whopper, just more of him to love. He's really stocky and strong. In his younger days, he used to hunt and kill rats and was quite the cat fighter, too.

Rudy's on the chair in this pic.

^^^ Man, that is a BIG Yorkie, looks like a cocker spaniel with a Yorkie head. The yorkie I had top the scales at six pounds. That was a fun dog to play with. It was like a miniature rottweiller. This dog would jump straight up and catch a tennis ball three feet over his head, suspended from the ceiling fan. He would hang there, twisting and growling, like he could take on the world, and would not release until I pried his jaws open. I remember throwing that tennis ball across the living room, into the kitchen over 100 times, non-stop, and he never slowed down from a full run there and back.

My Mom's got like 5 of these,.. she's got 2pounders all the way to 9 pounders.

I saw my Terrorist today,.. for a minute... I think he knows he's mine. He is a bit quiet though,.. not like his sisters, or a few of the other family members.. they seem to bark alot.

Just 4 right now. They do seem to do better in packs, especially when home alone. We had 3, but after the hurricanes of 04, we had to put one down. We got the Schnauzer after we moved back to the house, and Punky is a Katrina relief dog.

Antique Tiger, that is probably his hair cut that's deceptive on his body shape. He's like a little barrel on legs.

                      Congratualtions on the Yorkie!

We've had Bassets. Lost three of them. Have three of them. If you like Droopy dog, that's a Basset - sometimes. Basset puppies are a lit firecracker. as they get older they mellow out and calm way down. The first Basset we had we rescued from the Animal Shelter. She was named Mopsie. Somehow we started naming all the ones after starting with M. Millie, Milo, Max, Maize. We had a Kirby between Max and Maize, but that's only because he was named Milo and we already had a Milo. We have Milo, Max and Maize now.

Mopsie's health went bad so we ended her pain and suffering. Millie and Kirby lost to cancer.

I can't figure out how to post pictures here (yes, I am a goof), but I have phot albums for the ones we lost on MySpace. Working on organizing the pictures for the ones we still have. They'll be up shortly. (Yes, shameless plug for MySpace page - won't you be my friend?)

Yes, at that age they are. But then they grow a bit and by 7 months the terrorist asserts itself.
