Sad to hear today that he's not long for this world. This guy was Robin, Shaggy and Mark from G Force, so he leaves a big shadow on 70s kids.

Don't forget his Top 40 radio countdowns and even the video countdown TV show he had in the 80s. I remember vividly when it hit me that not only the same guy was Robin AND Shaggy, but he also was the guy on the video show!!!
He was indeed a huge presence in my childhood, and I appreciate the hours of entertainment he provided.

And Cliffjumper, plus the computer on Transformers. Between cartoons and American Top 40, his voice holds a lot of nostalgia for me.Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?
Check out my customs!

Ugly events happening besides his health...Kasem's wife refuses any family members, which includes Kasem's children, brother, and friends...from seeing him, and say good bye...what an ugly, ugly situation...Kasem's gold-digging wife is acting like a major biatch.Last edited by Hector; Nov 8, '13, 8:14 PM.sigpicComment

He still shows up here on radio reruns. Between Shaggy, Robin, and the top 40 countless hours of my youth were spent listening to the sound of his voice.Comment

Oh wow...this is so sad. Not only for the loss of such a icon to all of us, but for the dreadful situation regarding his family. I hope they get to see him and be with him in his last days before they have to say good-bye."Do you believe, you believe in magic?

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic

Ack, this is the first I've heard of this news. I've heard from various sources what a piece of work this guy was at times, lol, but his cartoon voices and his America's Top 10 are major staples of my youth so this bums me out sincerely.Comment

>Can't forget his profanity filled U2 rant.
....and the resulting Negativland song....
He's one of them celebrities I'm surprised we didn't hear more of. I heard he was a jerk in person, but the parts he played and his live appearances all seemed quite personable.
Although I love him for that U2 rant; I didn't care for them and as a teen they were unavoidable. That was the first time I'd heard ANYBODY say anything bad about them. At all.
