Elvis Fest

Took me a few days to recover to make my report. Let me tell you, if you are an Elvis fan or like music and a good time, you need to find one of these close to you and attend. Make sure it is a Jason Sherry promoted Elvis Fest. They have one in Georgia, Indiana, South Carolina, Lake George New York and Poconos PA that I know of. There might be more. I promise you will attend for the rest of your life. The Elvis competition is great, but the nightly concerts are fantastic. Friday night was the History of Rock and Roll concert. They had tribute artists for Elton John (who also does a killer Elvis tribute too, in fact he won the competition last year), Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond, Tom Jones (who is also the Emcee and he is a blast) and Roy Oribson. These guys are all unbelievable, but you really have to hear the Roy Orbison guy. He has the most vocal range of any voice I have ever heard and his Orbison is DEAD on. I was stunned how good he was. Then Shawn Klush, who is the greats Elvis Tribute Artist in the world does a concert. Then Saturday night they had three Elvis guys, all of who have won major competitions, perform. One of the guys who competed Friday and Saturday is an awesome comedian as well. I can't even begin to describe how much fun these events are. You really have to get to one. It was me, my wife and brother last year. This year we took our 16 year old daughter, 21 year old son, my dad and sister as well. Everyone wants to attend forever. I'll try to get some photos and videos up for you to see.

Last year my parents went to the big Elvis festival in Collingwood, Ontario (a friend of theirs was one of the performers). They had a blast, sounded like fun.
