Anyone else remember the BOWERY BOYS ?

    Being Sunday,

I remember the the show "East Side Comedy" hosted by John Byner(?) back in the 70's....
    Played around 10:00 AM

It would be just Bowery Boy movies......

    A little sample
(lousy sample-- only shows old versions of Huntz and Leo

YouTube - Best of the Bowery Boys

I always looked up to seeing it.

They used to be on late night after our horror movies on Friday nights. My brother is still into them. I think he's watched them all.

The only one I remember is the one where they join the Army or something along those lines.

Yep, my older brother used to watch this show all the time. Sometimes I'd watch too, though I could never really get into it.

A little trivia .... for people who don't know

The Beatles were actually Bowery Boys fans enough to put Huntz Hall on the cover of Sgt Pepper

Leo Gorcey (Mugsy) was also asked to be on the cover, but he wanted money -- So the Beatles left him off.

Original Pepper test photo with BOTH Gorcey and Hall (before Gorcey was removed)

                Top right over Ollie Hardy
