Halloween "specials" we miss on tv

I'm trying to think of "specials" that they use to show on tv in the '70s and '80s, that we just dont see anymore. Just another sign of how much the networks have changed over the years. At least they still show Charlie Brown.

I've got Ichabod and Mr Toad on DVD and it's well worth it we watch it all year long. Garfield's Halloween Special is one of my family's top specials to watch also. Man, that Garfield he's a hoot!

When I was little I looked forward to The Wonderful World of Disney yearly Halloween themed episode.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Along with the ones mentioned my family also enjoyed a few other ones...

              Mad Monster Party

              The Halloween That Almost Wasn't

              Disney's Halloween Treat
              ALL HAIL MING!

A slapped together sample of my work:

I highly recommend the cheesefest that is "The Paul Lynde Halloween Special" ! I bought a copy a few years ago on DVD. Where else can you see Paul as a trucker vying for Roz "Pinky Tuscadaro" Kelly's affections, or as a sheik wooing Florence "Mrs Brady" Henderson ? Add in Billie Hayes (Witchiepoo), Margaret Hamilton (The Wicked Witch of the West), KISS, and a big disco finale, and you have an instant classic!

The Garfield one is surprisingly spooky. Really well done.

As far as new stuff, the Dreamworks ones are really good. Lots of Halloween spirit in them.

In the 80s' we had a VHS with Mr. Boogedy, The Pumpkin Who Couldn't Smile, The Halloween That Almost Wasn't (aka The Night Dracula Saved the World) and Witch's Night Out.

There was another movie on that tape, but I cannot remember what it was. It was a made-for-TV quality film that had to do with a little kid and superstition during Halloween time.

I also fondly remember them showing this in school:

I remember a special "hosted" by the Magic Mirror on the Wall. They showed the Sleepy Hollow segment of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, and then Halloween-themed Disney shorts.

We watched Ichabod last night, thanks to DVD.
