    "Wallace is best known for voicing Bart’s teacher Edna Krabappel on the Fox animated series The Simpsons, for which she won an Emmy, and for playing receptionist Carol Kester on The Bob Newhart Show."

        That is really sad. I sat next to her and briefly spoke to her when she was in the audience at Rusty's Surf Ranch in Santa Monica seeing Billy Mumy's band The Jenerators. She was very gracious and nice. RIP Marcia. Thanks for the laughter.

          I see that Krabapple will be retired.

            She will be missed on that show for sure. I do believe that the Simpsons is going into it's 25th season.

                    RIP. Marcia. Thanks for all the years of laughter. Her Simpsons character is supposed to be retired according to the producers.

                          Oh I hate to hear that. She was great on the Simpsons, but I was really beginning to rediscover her on the Bob Newhart box sets I've been picking up. I great talent. She will be missed. RIP Marcia.
