    R.I.P. Actor Ed Lauter

I remember him in The Longest Yard & The Rocketeer. Some may recall him in Time Rider, School Ties, True Romance; to name a few.

      Very saddened to hear this.
I had the great pleasure of playing Ed's
brother on an episode of Highlander years
ago. We hoisted a few beers together after
long days of shooting in the woods. He was
a great guy and a real old school authentic
      actor.

RIP Mr. Lauter. You will be missed.

He's one of the high points in the campy extravaganza that is death wish 3.

He was in Revenge Of The Nerds 2 as well but I almost forgot Deathwish 3,I still love the part where Charles Bronsen walks through the neighbor hood mowing down thugs with a 30 caliber machine gun.

IMDB lists him with 204 acting credits- the first being in 1971!

He appeared in about every major tv show in 70s and 80s, plus numerous film credits. Not many actors have a career like that.

As a kid I always called him "the guy that looks like Robert Duvall" even though he doesn't really--I thought so as a kid

He looks a little like a younger Duvall. I can see that.
