Pretty much the original Blair Witch.... I know SO MANY people who were freaked out by this one.

I was never really freaked out by monster movies when I was a kid. Used to stay up all the time watching them with my grandpa. Two DID get to me though:

-The original Godzilla. I saw it when I was 3 or so and I cried for weeks when he died at the end.

-ONE movie scared me when I was a kid, and I don't remeber it too well. It featured the "horror horn" gimmick; and that noise scared me more than anything. I THINK it was "The Vulture" but I'm not sure.

Had to be something else, unless The Vulture had more than one version (I have it from a local broadcast 1980 Beta recording)

You can find almost anything on Youtube

The Alien TV ads were shorter versions of this trailer:

Here's the It's Alive TV spot:

There is a scene in Jaws when Richard Dreyfus finds a boat that belongs to his freind floating around. He dives to take a closer look. When he looks closer, his freind's head pops out and an eye pops out of the head. That scene kept me awake for a few days.

Horror Hotel and Salem's Lot stand out. I saw The Shining when I was a luittle bit older, maybe 11 or 12, and the twins freaked me out.

Poltergeist. That clown, the tree that ate the kid, the swimming pool full of corpses, Joebeth williams in her underwear in the ceiling, the steak and maggots and face peeling off.

My Uncle took me to see the Legend of Boggy Creek. I was 13 and it did creep me out even though it was in reality a low budget B movie!

That night I recreated a seen in my Uncles bedroom. I set up a trip wire at the door to release the window shade. He screamed like crazy at midnight when he went to bed!

This classic 1970's drive-in film is a must for all Bigfoot and cryptozoology fans! If you don't like 1970's films, low low budget films then stay clear from this. Go watch Harry Potter instead. The creepy swamp scenery at the start of the picture, lack of a budget, non-existant acting, and glimpses of a man in an ape suit makes this late night gem a real joy to watch!! Good for viewing in the dark. Much better than Sasquatch: The Untold. UGH!

I cant think of ever being freaked out by a movie. I watched Alien when I was 10 and have loved horror movies ever since. However, I had a book of movie monsters when I was a kid. There was a picture of the Phantom of the Opera that just gave me the shivers. I saw it once and for some reason, whenever I looked at the book again I had to make sure i skipped that page. Never quite understood the fear of that one.

Saw Alien when I was eight and my brother was six, our cousins took us to it instead of another movie that they told our parents we were seeing.

    Not a good idea!

I was mortally afraid of the Wicked Witch from "The Wizard of Oz" as a child. I was a freshman in high school before I ever sat and watched the entire film. When I was around 5 or 6 I saw "The Blob" for the first time and had nightmares for weeks. I mean, what's scarier than a freakin' monster that can slither through the tiniest crack or crevice to gobble you up in your sleep? I remember being majorly creeped out by the TV commercials for the movie "Frogs" in the early 70's. Actually, pretty much any horror movie commercial scared me back then. I was a real wuss as a kid, unlike the manly man I am now

For creeping me out when I was a kid....
Those mid 60's Godzilla movies where he was good and had that puppy dog head with the big eyes.
I have no idea why, but he scared me more being good and looking like that.
