    OK, Bigfoot enthusiasts...new footage...

    Here you go...

The latest news and headlines from Yahoo! News. Get breaking news stories and in-depth coverage with videos and photos.

I'm not here to judge anyone's beliefs or make fun...but...

In one scene...Bigfoot is supposedly sleeping in plain daylight...yet the camera shot is still blurry, shaky, no real detail, and super brief, no extended footage...that really annoys me to no end.

    Here's a comment from a reader:

"Don't know, so I'm not saying anything either way, but, in this day of technology where a satellite hundreds of miles in space can aim a camera with sufficient focus to read a license plate, why can't these Sasquatch hunters buy a camera that can focus from 50 yards? That certainly didn't look like HD video to me. How about trapping one of these things? I know that gorillas were a myth until a couple hundred years ago, and we don't know everything there is to know about our planet and its fauna, but if these things live among us, surely we have the technology to find them. Send up a drone with an infra-red HD camera in the middle of the night. I'm just sayin'..."

    Ok...thoughts?

I for one am really tired of the condescending attitudes toward people like myself who believe there is simply an unidentified species of animal living in North America. In particular I dislike the term Bigfoot "enthusiast" and this article goes as far as calling us wackos.

Alright, now to address this guys comments...

First of all, is he REALLY going to compare any camera commercially available for the general public to a highly advanced spy satellite? Second, it's much easier to zoom in on any object unobstructed from above, but it's also much harder to identify size, shape, etc. Check out Google earth and tell me from above how tall any tree or building is when looking straight down on it. Unless there is a shadow visible to gauge the height, you can't. Furthermore, it's difficult to identify specific shapes or profiles. This brings us to filming in the woods. I've used a camera in the woods, and with all the layers upon layers of trees and foliage, it is extremely difficult to focus beyond it to any specific depth, as simply panning the camera even a few millimeters causes it to refocus.

There was no personal attack on you from me, nor was I disrespectful...just pointed out some things that don't make sense and are illogical to me from people who claim these footage as real...if the article said "wackos", that's on them, not me...I called no one "wacko".

I have the right to question this...as I need concrete proof.

Are there undiscovered species on Earth?

Yes...especially in the deep oceans...but when pro-Sasquatch believers say it's real...show me more evidence...footprints, hearsay from folks, and shaky amateur camera footage...that's just not enough for me.

          But I respect your beliefs...I never said I didn't.

...and I'm not saying Sasquatch does not exist, that's not my point...I just want more pudding in the cup, if that makes any sense...

Would it be cool if one was captured?

                    Cool...

This is just a sore subject with me right now. There was a local sighting here last week, and I was invited to speak on the local radio station as a guest and they made a total joke out of it and me.

I did not post this thread to make fun...I just happened to bump into it through Yahoo News...and thought it might be interesting to discuss this here.

What I noticed in this new footage...this Sasquatch had a different gait from the Sasquatch of the old Patterson–Gimlin film.

                      What's your take on that?

That was not cool...I'd be livid myself.

IDK...people all seem to have slightly different gaits, some swing their arms, some carry invisible luggage. (see Seinfeld)

Why don't these groups try to capture one? I mean, here they come across Bigfoot taking a nap, perfect opportunity to throw a net over him, but they got 15 seconds of video and left?

hmm... If you were to find a bear sleeping in the woods, would you simply try to throw a net over him? That is if you had a net... maybe just try to tackle him with your bare arms. Probably not a very good idea... just saying
