Another good way to keep shrinkage (and splatter) down is to cook it in the oven.

Great idea! Since I just got some new skillets, I need a reason to use them! I will try this this weekend....

It really is much easier, and doesn't take any longer to cook.

Me too. I don't really eat much bacon these days, but I've always liked mine meaty, not crispy.

Seems I'm the odd duck out. I like mine extra-crispy almost to the point of being burnt!

Me too. But I'll take it just about any way it's served.

I use a Foreman to cook my bacon. It drips straight into that little grease catch. Still maintains a good amount of size cause it's not sitting in all that grease. I also love the pre-cooked microwave bacon. So quick and easy. Taste is not the best but if you need it sprinkle into something or a topper it's awesome.

Interesting! I just tried cooking bacon for the first time a couple of months ago. Next time I give it a whirl I'll try your technique. Thanks!

Actually my bacon is crispy, only the ends are a bit soft.

No. No. No. Hector, I said extra-crispy. That means even the end bits have to be crispy, and absolutely no soft parts anywhere at all! I wasn't kidding about it being extra-crispy almost to the point of being burnt.
