Between that and the Star Wars holiday special, I had a really anticlimactic autumn that year.

Christmas was always maddening to me...dad would set up presents under the tree for an entire month...he'd do it on purpose, just to torture me, lol.

My sister was a lot more patient...I thought she was a little nuts for not being bothered as much as me.

I would say TV holiday specials and then ordering something from the Sears catalog were big things for me, too. Another thing for me was waiting in the fall for that fall preview TV guide to come out so I could see where all my favorite shows were going to be, especially on the Saturday mornings.
