    Saw Skynyrd last night

I've been a Lynyrd Skynyrd fan since I was a kid and listened to them on my brother's 8-track player. I had never made it priority to see them in concert because the band didn't have most of the original lineup.

That was my mistake. They put on a great show. Here's my review.

There's som pretty cool photos below the story.

I saw them about five years ago with Gretchen Wilson. Great show from both, no complaints here on the lineup.

I always loved Skynyrd!!! in an unrelated note, I just saw Cheap Trick at the Hampton Beach Casino...... they played for almost 2 hours, and for some cats in their late 60's they sounded phenomenol!!!

^Cheap Trick is a cool band that puts on a fun show. I saw them with Meat Loaf a number of years ago, and iit was a blast.

^^Steve, it was a great show. If someone likes Skynyrd's music, I don't know how they could be disappointed, other than the normal hassles of attending a live show.

Only problem with Skynyrd is there's only one original member left

              They're like the Temptations today

edited to add, no disrespect to Johnny who more than filled his brother's shoes

I've seen the Lynyrd Skynyrd Band at least a dozen times over the past two decades. I've never been let me down yet. I will see them as many times as I can. They are spot on with their sound and quality.

^I felt same way, Mikey, until I saw them, but this lineup has been playing the music three or four times as long as the original lineup did. Now granted, other than Rossington these guys had no part in creating the music.

But what it comes down to, they put on a great show and play the songs their fans want to hear.
