    Tarzan Lord of the Jungle.

I found it... finally. None of my friends remember this. But I new it existed. Anybody else like this one? Absolutely one of my favorites. Thanks to the thread about most hated cartoon, I remembered this as of of my favorites. I only found the intro but it is better than nothing. Must share. Enjoy.

Well I missed it. Hey what was the cartoon with the Triceratop like creature that shot rocks out of it's horn, there was some sort of Rock Ape thing, and a family of people in space on some messed up planet, having various adventures, may have been part of the space ghost run.

If you check under the username Hexseeker, you'll find a LOT of these episodes. I love watching them on Saturday morning like I did when I was a kid! Enjoy!

Yeah, I posted a thread about this a few months ago, but it mysteriously disappeared and the admins didn't respond to my queries about it...

Anyway, you can find hours of these great old Tarzan episodes on youtube -- the Golden Lion and the Colossus of Xome are among the best!

Tarzan and, a little later, Thundarr were my favorite Saturday morning cartoons. But Tarzan takes the prize because of the mood-setting jungle montages and the realistic figure animation. Also, Tarzan -- live action, in TV and movies -- was my first adventure hero, even before Batman became an obsession, some time in the early 70s.

Thanks for that, I remember it from my childhood and really enjoyed seeing it again. He is one of my four favourite characters ever.

I loved that series as a kid and can even sit down now and enjoy them, definately one of the superior cartoons from the 70's. I've got most of the series on dvd somewhere.

It's the cartoon that sparked my love of Tarzan, it's more faithful to the Burroughs character than the movies.

... with the exception of Greystoke, but that came years after this series.

And speaking of Greystoke, it got the origin story spot-on right, but then depicted Jane leaving Tarzan in the jungle at the end, and seemed to end just when it was getting going. We're left to imagine that Jane was captured by the Waziri tribe, perhaps, causing Tarzan to come after her so that they can properly fall in love/lust -- and then decide it's best if they make a treehouse and live together in the jungle as ape-man and wife.

Yeah, I was thinking about the years prior to the series. There was a pretty good Tarzan TV show in the late ninties with Joe Lara that was pretty accurate as well, it could have stood with a bigger budget though.

I loved that show. Was a faithful viewer for many years. Thoroughly enjoyed the animation and the stoires. I wish it would find it's way on to DVD!
