Labor Day plans?

Curious as to what everyone is doing this Labor Day weekend. I may be an odd duck and come from a long line of odd ducks, but my family has never had any real traditions for the holiday. What about you?

My dad put me on the business end of a shovel mostly. He seemed to think it meant you do yard work.

My stepson is getting married this afternoon, so that's my weekend. I just worked 17 of the last 18 days to have this weekend off, so there better be a good food spread at this thing...

We used to have a family get together but that's waned as everyone has gotten older and folks don't want to drive out of their way anymore. I'm honestly totally cool with it.
Any week before a holiday is hectic at work so three days of relaxation doesn't suck.

I gotta work all weekend.
I remember as a kid it was the end of summer and we went back to school the day after labor day. The pool where I spent my summers was packed on labor day cause it was the end of summer and back then everyone's family's had off from work (well it seemed that way) so it was a big family holiday for us back then. All of us kids who went to different schools were sad because we wouldn't see each other until next summer.

Nothing, just enjoying being off from work. I remember when Labor Day was really the end of the summer break. We went to school the Tuesday after.

If I don't go the the shop, I'll probably throw some steaks on the grill and relax. Yard work all done.
