Been using this to get HD versions of films not out yet in blu ray
You use a DVD or blu ray drive and an app on your computer. You put in the disc, it detects the title and allows you to get a SD streaming version for $2 and an HD one for $5. You get a 50% discount for 10 or more. It works for blu ray too $2 per HD conversion but even though I have a blu ray drive I am not set up to play blu ray and it dies not detect the disc.
But with the DVD upgrade to HD I have done
Airport 75 and 77 (79 does not work even though it is listed)
Bringing Up Baby
Cat People
Desk Set
Detroit Rock City
Gidget
Imitation Of Life
Incredible Shrinking Man
Legal Eagles
Love Story
Lover Come Back
Marathon Man
Nancy Drew
Phantom Of The Patadise

It takes the Ultraviolet streaming codes in blu rays and with that I added in for free
A&C meet Frankenstein
Airport
Blues Brothers
E.T.
Hugo
JAWS
The Jerk
Animal House
Scarface
Spider-Man 1 and 2
Star Trek: TNG Best Of Both Worlds.
And I relented and paid for a few Disney films I have been waiting for blu rays of, like The Black Hole $14-15 a piece.
These guys allow you to select between standard def, 720p HD and 1080p HD on most titles. Ifbyounonly want SD, you pay less.
My connection does not have enough oomph for 1080p for sustained periods so I use 720p but with my 37" the difference is not too noticible.
Anyway, I use it more than I thought I would, it's on the panasonic BD player I have.
