Colorized historic black & white photos

Just saw these and was really impressed. Some better than others sure, but to see these moments and people in color puts a whole new perspective on the events and times that were captured.

When we see old black and white photos we sometimes forget the actual moments were experienced the same way we do today.

I love looking at photos like these. It makes everything so much more real.

Not trying to Hijack your topic, but if you ever want to try and tackle something like this yourself, you need to check out this program (though payware you should be able to check out a trial unless they changed it)

I made this with it, but I purposely made it look "electric" so to speak, but yes it was black and white originally

very cool .id love to get colorized versions of the old black and white superman and batman and captain marvel serials from the 1940s ,ive seen the odd still colorized , but the full serial would be like giving them a new life entirely ,literally a new coat of paint lol ,it would be beyond great if there was a program that you could just run them through and out they came in color

I love seeing colorized photos! Even though I know better, I tend to think of my grandparents' and great grandparents' worlds as drab and dull. It is sometimes hard to imagine their surroundings as bright and vibrant.

I'm sometimes asked to colorize photos, when I retouch (digitally repair damaged family photos.) I usually just use photoshop. It's a bit of work to do it right and have it not look "Ted Turnerized" , so I have nothing for respect for properly done coloring.
