    My Idea for a Book..

Ok so I have a idea for a book. Lets me explain..I have tons of comic books from the 70's and 80's. I go through them all the time and I always find adds for LONG forgetten toys, Toys that were never made, Toys that were the hype of the day, movie adds for LONG forgotten movies, Cool adds in general.
I like the idea of making a book of these forgotten adds.
If someone wants to steal my idea and do it then do it!..
What do you all think about it?

When I was a kid, I thought it would be brilliant if someone made a book with pictures of restroom walls with graffiti so you could read the graffiti while you were taking care of business at home. I believe it's been done a couple times and never really took off the way I imagined it would. I'd like to see a book of old comics ads, though. Getting the reprint rights from the companies might be tough, though.

How about a coffee cup shaped like a coffee table?

I had an idea that would be really difficult to do, but I would find very interesting.

I was at a nasty, country, "2 dollar" auction here in East Tennessee, and up for bid came this atrocious 3 1/2 ft tall cheaply made, plastic, native american doll. It had the stereotypical tan suede outfit with the fringes (think tonto) a very masculine "John redcorn" style face sculpt and a whopping 4 points of articulation. It was packaged in a nondescript pink box with a clear cellophane window, like what flower bouquets come packaged in. It was the kind of thing nightmares are made from. God only knows why someone would have wanted this thing, It wasn't "cute" nor was it an accurate representation of what a Native American would have looked like. But a big ole redneck woman bought the thing for $5.

Okay, here's the book idea. Trace this toy from it's development, prototyping, construction, initial wholesale, shipment, delivery to distribution house, sale to store, delivery and stocking/merchandising at store, obvious lack of interest by customer, removal from shelves, sale to discount buyer, sale by discounter at this little country auction, then, finally the "Home" and owner that this ridiculous monstrosity now resides.

From Mainland China, to East Tennessee: One toy's long voyage home.

                    I know I'd buy a copy!
