    Poor Punky.

Been trying to figure out what's been wrong with Punkin. Loosing hair and muscle mass in the last couple months. Tested for Thyroid problems, not it. Now Cushing's test is positive. With or without treatment she's got about two years. We are going to skip the vet treatment and try to go herbal, as the pills prescribed are kinda scary. One usual med is a DDT relative. the vet said to shave her down and she'd at least look a bit better.

Really sorry to hear about Punkin, Thunderbolt. I am a big animal lover and have "nursed" a couple of pets through some really tough departures. I bought my first dog a couple of years ago and had him only two months and he started throwing up and had a bit of a skin condition. He went into the vet and my wife was told it was just allergies he was given a shot and was to stay for observation. I got a call at work saying he had gone into critical condition, and there was a traffic accident so I didn't get to be there to say good-bye. I cherish the time I had with him, but his death gutted me.
Could I suggest getting a second opinion? I looked up Cushing's syndrome and just with a quick look, there seems to be successful treatments. Am I looking at the wrong thing?

Really sorry to hear the bad news.
          Sincerely,
          Chris

              Aww, poor little girl. :(

I wish her a speedy recovery.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

That's really sad, I feel your pain...I love dogs more than the vast majority of people.

Just keep on pampering her even more.

I'm very sorry to hear this news. Whew...these situations are so difficult (whether it's human or animals). I wish her and you, along with your family, the very best.

Man I'm sorry to hear that. We had a schnauzer with Cushing's disease and with the meds she lived about 3 years longer, but it cost us a fortune. I understand what you are going through having had several dogs with diabetes, Cushing's, and cancer. They were family, and we miss them all. The best to you, your family, and Punkin.

I hate to hear this being a total animal lover. The bright spot I suppose is that you know. I can't imagine waking up and finding one of my cats gone suddenly. There's no time to prepare, just complete loss. Continue taking care of her, I know she appreciates it.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.
