    Karen Black has passed away

I have been keeping up with her in Facebook. She had been fighting a big battle with cancer and today I learned she passed away.

Nobody here will forget her as the person driving off the evil doll in Trilogy of Terror

I loved her in one of my favorite guilty pleasures Airport 1975

    She will be missed.

    RIP Karen.

She was in some cool films, for sure.

She was in the movie "Nashville" and wrote and sang the bittersweet tune "Memphis."

Wow, that's shocking to me, way too soon.

I'm telling you, her performance in Trilogy of Terror was one of the scariest things I've ever scene in either TV or film.

      RIP

So today was a rainy Thursday. My son and I sat home all day and around noon we decided to watch a movie. He picked the 1986 remake of Invaders From Mars which I haven't watched in years. The star of that movie, Karen Black (and her son, Hunter Carson.) Now I just saw this post. Wow. She died the same day we decided to watch the one movie I own with her in it. Coincidence? I think so. But still very creepy.

When I think of her, I only think of Trilogy of Terror!
Our family would always watch it when it came on TV.

I will always remember her for fighting that wicked witch doctor doll in Trilogy of Terror. I will also remember her for being In Praise of Older Women.
